Should I grow my hair long to please the opposite sex?

I have a pixie hair cut and I LOVE it that way. It's very practical for me and when I look in the mirror it just feels right having it that way. I have found, however, that most men do not like short hair on women, plus I have had bad dating experiences with dating compared to when I had long hair. What's the deal? Sould I just do my own thing and be happy or sucumb to all of the image stereotypes?

i say if you like it like that, leave it. it sounds cute. and if guys are really just worried about how long your hair is they don't sound like good guys to me =]
