Question by Amy: Is The L Word a realistic portrayal of what lesbians are really like?
Sorry if I sound naive but I was wondering if the lesbians on the show are just a bit more girlie than real lesbians. I know that the sex isn't realistic but what do you guys think?

All media portrayal of lesbians is far-fetched and misleading, programs like those are made purely for the entertainment value. Viewers want to see feminine women, not stereotypical masculine lesbians.
